pop-rock anthem “Insecure Meisies,” a track that
shone a spotlight on the hidden battles of self
image, bullying, and the pressures of modern
youth. With lyrics that captured the sting of envy
and the quiet pain of insecurity, the song resonated
deeply with young listeners navigating a world of
comparison and criticism. Its poignant honesty,
coupled with a striking music video, cemented
Zoé’s growing reputation as an artist unafraid to
tackle socially relevant themes while staying true to
her vibrant pop sensibility. On Spotify, the track has
already drawn in around 239,654 plays, while on
Apple Music it has surged past 333,093 streams,
showcasing its strong digital traction. On the
Maroela Media Afrikaanse Top-20, the song
debuted at #9 and quickly climbed to #2. Since
release, Zoé has also stayed in the Top 4 on the
Afrikaans Apple Music charts, with the track
featured on playlists like Afrikaanse Treffers,
Alternatiewe Afrikaans, Cool Afrikaans, and New in
 Afrikaans.
Zoé’s journey in the Afrikaans music industry
began with her bold decision to leave her
hometown of Tzaneen for Pretoria, where she
launched her career with her debut single “Crazy
Meisie.” The upbeat pop-rock anthem introduced
her as a fresh, confident voice and quickly caught
the attention of fans. She followed it up with
“Liefhê,” a heartfelt track that revealed her more
tender side while still showcasing the energetic
 spark that became her signature.
